About HTH
Hope Through Him is a movement designed to combat mental health struggles and suicide with the truth and love of God’s word. Each week I work to create content that brings relief from the waves of negativity that come with social media and news media at large. My original intention was to reach just one heart searching for hope. Now, having received many stories of hope found and joy renewed, I would like to reach beyond West Florida and create a movement of young people who are seeking to lift each other up and walk together in hope and joy.
My passion for mental health began in the Hope Squad at my school. I related to the stories of people feeling isolated and suffocated by expectations. I found myself inspired by the way the squad encouraged and supported others through the difficulties of teenage life. I wanted to do more and reach more than just my own school. I began Hope Through Him out of my foundational training in faith. There have certainly been difficult or trying times in my life, and I found the answer to my struggles lay just inside the cover of my own Bible.
I was honored to be a featured speaker at the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) prayer breakfast for the Okaloosa County School District pointing over 2,000 athletes toward the strength and purpose that can only be found in Him. I also look forward to connecting with Escambia, Santa Rosa and Walton Counties making up the West Florida Region. Connecting with a nation-wide, missionally-aligned organization such as FCA will bring together a network of students who will carry the message of Hope Through Him to their own communities. Ultimately I hope this connection would allow me to host Hope Through Him conferences across the state with worship teams, and guest speakers, each focusing on different mental health topics.
The ability to speak to a wide and varied audience is a skill that requires honing. I am thankful for my time working in pageantry, as well as in church, giving me the confidence to speak about my faith and my passion for mental health.
